The Name

What does Villa Rustica mean?

Villa rustica was the Latin term for the working center of a large rural estate, home to the owner's family and employees and the operational hub for everything grown and raised on the land.

It typically combined a main residence, a working agricultural center, and dedicated farm buildings (the rusticana) all in one place, similar to how our farm runs today.
